• purpose of arrival in the country (for tourists this is a booked hotel or a contract with a travel agency for the provision of relevant services; for private visits an invitation is required);
• solvency (you will need a bank card, account statement, cash or traveller's checks).

It may also be necessary to prove that the foreigner will actually leave Mexico after a certain period of time. For this purpose, a return ticket is required.

All of the above documents must be printed out and kept with you at the Mexican border.
